Always Tired?Blame it on heartburn If you don’t get enough sleep because of heartburn you can restore your sleep and your energy by:
Reducing stomach acid by reducing anxiety Reduce anxiety with a proven stress buster like stretching, which can change how
genes behave in response to stress
Eating smaller snacks earlier in the evening Downsize your after dinner snacks, and try not to eat within two hours of bed.
Quenching your thirst with a tummy calmer Sip non-carbonated beverages, i.e., water, tea, at night.
Checking your meds. Ask you doctor if a drug you are taking could be the heartburn culprit, if so, request a substitute that won’t.
FYI: Do you know the symptoms?
Don’t feel a burn in your throat? You may still have acid reflux!
Other common symptoms include: chest pain, especially after bending over, lying down or eating, difficulty swallowing, chronic cough, hoarseness or sore throat. |
